SAP on Linux installation error:Assertion failed: OraNetworkConfigurator.doClientNetworkConfiguration:Argument tnsnamesOraTemplate must point to an existing file.

Hi,

Getting an error during the installation of ABAP with ERP 6.0 EHP7 with Oralce 12.1

ERROR:

An error occurred while processing option... SAP Business suite 7i 2013 support release 2 > EHP7 for SAPERP 6.0 ABAP Support Release 2 > Oracle >SAP System > Application Server ABAP > Standard System > Standard System (Last error reported by the step: Assertion failed: OraNetworkConfigurator.doClientNetworkConfiguration:Argument tnsnamesOraTemplate must point to an existing file.

Pls help to resolve the issue..

      Hi Dattu P,

      Sounds a lot like a permission problem on the template file TNSNAMES.ORA.

      This file resides somewhere within the installation media you use for your installation run. Use the installation logfiles to find out the path on which the installation is trying to access this TNSNAMES.ORA template file and give proper read permissions to this file.

    Hi,

    Could you post error messages from SWPM log files? It seems an issue with TNSNAMES.ora file, but we need more information about this error to analyse it further.

    Please find below Logs. There is no permission issues for the TNSNAMS.ora file.
