Active Article Hierarchy

Is it possible to have more than one active article hierarchy in SAP Retail?

Hi Lindsay,

We can define 2 types of Article Hierarchies. one is client dependent and other one is Distribution chain dependent.

Currently we have an active article hierarchy with no Sales Org or distribution channel defined therefore am I correct in saying this is the client dependent hierarchy.

Now I am trying to activate a article hierarchy with Sales Org and distribution channel defined

When trying to activate the one above SAP issues this error message

We are trying to use the Article Hierarchy functionality to create a Buyer Hierarchy (show buyers/planners according to BMC and their articles) as below:

This information will be used for SAP BW, should this hierarchy remain as planned in the SAP system could you share what implications this may have being in planned status and not active?
