Inventory Posting List Balance is not equal to In Stock in Inventory Data

Hi,

I would like to ask regarding our inventory posting list balance is not equal to the "in stock" in inventory data in item master data. We usually check the balance in inventory posting list with the inventory data (item master data).

I would like to know where to check this inconsistency of balance compare to the in stock.

Please advise and thanks for the help.

Cheers.

Hi Harshal, please see attached screenshot. The "In Stock" in Item Master data is not mach in inventory posting list. The warehouse code is 1000 while the inventory posting is also 1000. What other areas need to see for us know the discrepancy of this two misleading information. Thank you for the help.

Hi Ryan,

Go to Inventory Posting List and Below dates selection you will find Expanded button. Click on Expanded Button and then click on clear selection.

Also try to clear selection of warehouse and reselect all warehouse.

Then check and let us know.

Thanks,

Hi Harshal,

Done doing the instructions that you've stated but still the issue still the same.

The transactions in inventory posting is correct but maybe there's a problem in Item Master Data (In Stock). What other areas that we need to see.

Thank you.

Hi Ryan,

Now open Inventory Posting List directly from Item Master Data by Right Mouse click and then check what quantity you are getting.

Other report you check is Inventory in warehouse. You can use this report to verify.

Let me know the result.

Thanks,

Hi Ryan,

Please do restore item balance through Help > Support Desk > Restore > Restore Item Balance.

Try it at your backup database first.

Can you post a screen shot of the selection criteria you are using when running the inventory posting list? Also, try running the inventory audit report to see if the results are the same?

Hi Experts,

Any idea on this? Inventory Data(on Hand) of specific Item is not equal to inventory posting list balance.

Thanks for the help.

Inventory Stock (in Hand) = Total of Inventory Posting list balance.

Please check whether you have missed any warehouse while selection.
