fatal cast error

What's this:

select

cast(floor(1610 / 100) as sql_char ), floor(1610 / 100)

from system.iota

should result to '16', 16.

But it doesn't: cast(..) results to '46251968173'

How can I distribute Ver12 and be sure the apps are running and the clients can rely on the data? Who knows whats next ????
