Hi experts,
I am customizing Normal Change function, to be able to use TMS of Solman.
If I want to make a follow up transaction from Change Request to Normal Change, I don't get the transaction type listed in the popup after clicking on follow up button.
I've checked the customizing and there the setup is fine.
If I set it up, to make a follow up from Change Request to Incident it works, but from Change Request to Normal Change not.
Does anybody have an idea what might be the reason for this?
Kind regards
Hi
No it is not the way of creating normal change.
First of all you need to make the request for change to "Being implemented" status.
Actions- -> Validated,
Actions-> To be approved
Now in scope assignment block assign the scope as normal change or urgent change.
Approval block-> Approve the request
go to actions->Being implemented
You will see the change document will be created.
Thanks
Rishav

Hi Anon
It will not work that way completely as it supposed it to be.
standard functionality will be considered as I had told you.
Follow up normal change creation is not recommended.
If you still want to do, you can add to add in copy controls for same.
SPRO->Solution manager->Capabilities ->IT service management-> Adjust copy controls or followp creation
But I suspect it will work.
Thanks

So finally I made it.
In the customizing there is a step, where you can define the execution time of actions, per status.
There was the action APP_SCOPE defined as 1, so exectuing after checks.
I switched to 0 and now it works.
However, you have to be carefully, and this only makes sense if you really want to have it before the checks!
Kind regards and thx for help

Hello Rishav,
regarding the original-issue, that the follow up couldn't be created.
I've debugged now a lot and found the following.
There is an action "SMCR_APPORVED_SYSTEMS", which will create the folow up.
This calls implementation CHM1_COLLREQ_SYSTEMS with method APPROVE_SYSTEMS.
And there the content is read from table TS0CM_CR_CONTEXT.
All contexts are removed, without status "APPROVED", Field APPR_RESULT in table.
In my case, in Solution Manager Web UI the status of the scope is APPROVED, however in the table the field APPR_RESULT is still empty - also if I test with SMCR transaction.
Do you have any idea or now a note, what fixes this?
Is it a bug?
Or maybe you can check in you table, if the values (APPR_RESULT) are filled.
Kind regards

Hello Rishav,
so finally I could handle it.
there is a table view (sm3) called AICVC_PROC_EDIT3, where you can define by which status which button is available.
I think as we already had one upgrade done, after copying smcr to Z-transaction, the z-statusprofile wasn't maintained.
I've maintained it now for our status profile and now it works.

Hmm...you are right, however I get an error on the action.
Before I investigate deeper, I wanted to try the same on my Z-SMCR - but there I can't add a project and also not the scope.
Both blocks are just in read function and the "Add" button isn't there.
Do you know what might be the reason for this?
Kind regards

Hi
You must add project when you are validating your change request,
You must add the scope when you are moving to "To be Approved" status.
If you are not able to add project even before validation also, make sure you have appropriate authorizations and your project cycle should be appropriate state.
Thanks
Rishav
