Catching / Handling SessionExpiredLongJumpException

Dear Experts,

Is there a way to catch the SessionExpiredLongJumpException and show a proper error page without having the whole stack trace and the technical information which is not relevant for our endusers?

com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.session.SessionExpiredLongJumpException: Application session has expired.

Thanks and Regards, Koray

I saw SAP Note 795699 - Customizing default error messages for HTTP

Customization of 400 Bad Request

This message cannot be customized.

I am guessing there is no chance to show something else the technical error message?

Hi Ervin,

Thanks for you message. I already wrote that I have checked SAP Note 795699 which is also mentioned in the link you have sent. It says that 400 Bad Request can't be customized. And the SessionExpiredLongJumpException comes as 400 Bad Request. So there is no solution for our case. Or am I missing something?

Thanks and Regards,

Koray

Hi,

I think your understanding is correct. I only added that troubleshooting guide link to give you an alternative that you can hide the error as it is.

Regards,

Ervin
