sftp not working

Hi experts,

We have BO 4.1 SP7 and are trying to schedule a crystal reports for enterprise to an sftp server and got the following error message:

connection error. [] [CrystalEnterprise.SFTP]

if we try to use sftp on command line on the same host, it's working great!

SFTP config on BO:

Anyone an idea?

Thanks for feedback. We used the wrong fingerprint.

SFTP is working now!

We configured SFTP with the finterprint as describes in Note 2183131.

Hi Michael,

Check standard steps using SAP note 2183131.

Check if there is any limit set on ftp server for number of connections for this ftp user.

Also, change destination folder to ftp root or just add "." without quotes in destination directory field.

If it does not help, trace AJS used to get detailed information.

there are no limitations of number of connections. We also changed the destination folder..

Does anyone has a step by step guide config guide for schedule reports to an sftp server?

is the connection working in general?

Try "telnet <target host> 22" from the command line.

Hallo Michael,

thanks but I just wanted to make sure.

Apart from the note mentioned by Onkar this seems like an interesting blog.

It also mentions to check logs. "Go to the machine where the BI Platform Adaptive Job Server is running, and navigate to the logging folder for the BI Platform deployment."

Do you see any errors in the log files on the source and target systems?

i got this error:

"No such file or directory" doesn't really sound like a connection issue.

Maybe you can bump up the tracing on the Adaptive Job/sftp server and go with the note mentioned by .
