Delete Segmentation Model in Hybris Marketing

Trying to delete a Segmentation Model in Hybris Marketing, but allways get the error message, that ther is a dependency to an existing target group. All targetgroups based on this segmentation models are completed.

On the documentation i just found these information regarting this issue:

Select one or more segmentation models and choose Delete Segmentation Models to delete the models.

Note that you can only delete a segmentation model when the according authorization is granted to you at the segmentation profile on which the model is based.

To grant the authorization to delete segmentation models maintain the authorization object GSEG_START.

Hi Christian,

I was also same situation. In this case, you need to delete cutomizing of segmentation from bottom in the reverse order. Finally, you can delete the segmentation model.

thanks for your response.

So you mean that i have to delete the segmentation profile, segmentation object and so on in yMKT Customizing? (transactions SPRO or CEI_IMG)

first i will check again, if all required authorizations are in place and then i will give your solution approach a try.

Hi Charistian,

Sorry, I misunderstood. My means "segmentation object". In "segmentaion models" case, you don't need to delete the customizing.

Hi Christian,

to delete the target group we have ILM reports in place.

You will find two programs related to the object target group. The first program is to set the selected target group data to cold and the second one is to delete the cold data from the database.

Program names are:

CUAN_TARGET_GROUP_SET_COLD

CUAN_TARGET_GROUP_DELETE_COLD

For both programs you should use the test mode first, before you run it productive.

The reports are also existing for the other objects, like Interaction Contact, Interaction, Initiative etc....

For segmentation models from which target group has been created, need close/discard target cgroup first. Delete the target group using application job and follow same routine for Segmentation Model then.

By deleting a segmentation model, this error message appears:

So there is one Target group based on this segmentation model. But this target group is already completed:

What else can I do to delete this segmantation model?

Hi Christian, it's a bit tricky. I just tested some cases in our dev. systems. Provided you have the right authorization... - I could delete a segmentation model that had one (static) TG/ no Campaign at all assigned AFTER completing the TG. No customizing changes or so were required. However before it'll allow you to delete a TG several checks would be done in the background. This is not a complete list but some: - Is there an Campaign assigned to the TG -> which status? Active? - Depending on customizing is there a CRM TG assigned to the Hybris MKT TG that is still in an open status? Ie. the system did not allow me to delete a Hybris MKT TG (although it was in status "completed") that had a CRM TG assigned. You can check this with the data aging transaction  CUAN_TG_SET_COLD (0000000314 4 CRM target group 0000008899 not completed (status: I8859)) Guess you do need to go through some additional checks. Hi Matthias,

We do not have CRM campagins in place.

The system where i mentioned this problem was Hybris Marketing 1508.

I also have access to an other older system based on Hybris Marketing 1502 as well to a new system based on Hybris Marketing 1602.

I tried the following on each systems:

• Creating a new segmentation Model
• Deleting this segmentation Model
• this is working - no problem

• Creating a new segmentation model
• Creating a DYNAMIC target group based on this segmantation model
• Defined export definition, released and completed this target group
• Deleting the segmentation model
• Error: Segment and subtree cannot be removed due to 1 assigned target group(s)

I didnt find any SAP Note for this problem.

There isnt any opportunity to delete a target group.

Shall we open a ticket regarding this issue?
