Hi
We have two storage location 1340 and 1341. Reservations are created automatically in storage location 1340 through process order . Then we create transfer order to transfer the stock to 1341 .
Now we have a automatic reservation in 1340 and storage bin related to the process order in 1341 resulting in blocking of quantity in both the storage location . Production process requires to keep the stock in 1341 for 2-3 days(production requirement) before consuming it in the process order . This results in blocking of quantity in two storage locations for 2-3 days.
Now I am looking for means to have the stock blockage at one place only . Your ideas will be highly appreciated .
Thanks
Are you sure you are talking about reservations?
What have reservation in storage locations to do with PP/WM interface?

An expert and an insider may understand what you mean, but the written words ("we have moved the bin to storage location 1341 ") are pure nonsense.
The reservation is made at storage location 1340 in MM.
You somehow have a quant with a dynamic storage bin which represents the order.
It is not known if this quant was created by a receipt from this order or by a goods issue to this order.
You then probably did a MM movement from storage location 1340 to storage location 1341.
And finally you missed to post the posting change notice from LU04 for this transfer posting.
Yes you are correct . The dynamic storage bin is created due to goods issue to this process order . We have a reservation and dynamic bin in the storage location 1340 after the process order release . Then as a part of the process we do a transfer posting to storage location 1341 from 1340 . As a result we have a reservation in storage location in 1340 and quant in storage location 1341.
a little be clearer but still confusing.
you said that the quant was created from a goods issue, so it has a negative quantity in the interim storage type.
Usually you would need to convert the TR (transfer requirement into a TO (transfer order) to pick the quantity from a storage bin of your warehouse, to move it to the interim storage type and nullify the negative quant.
What's even more confusing is how you could do a transfer in MM from storage location 1340 to 1341 if the quantity was already issued .
Try to get all single activities for this process into the right sequence.
Eventually provide screenshots from the MM movements in MB51, from the stock situation in MM from MMBE, from the stock situation in WM from LS24 and LS26
The process step-wise shown below:
Step 1: Creating process order and releasing it . The system creates a reservation and automatic TR with WM movement type 319 in storage location 1340 to receive the material in 1340 . Once TR->TO confirmed . Stock become available in the quant in the storage location 1340 .
Step 2: We transfer the quant to storage location 1341 through LM01 so that it can later be consumed in the production with movement type 261 .
Now the anomaly arise , We have a reservation for the Process order in 1340 and related quant in 1341.
The reservation is blocking the quantity in 1340 and we have a Process order related quant in 1341 for the same quantity mentioned in the process order .
