Condition Round off Note-80183

Hi,

I came across the note 80183,i was reading the note.

It is mentioned as below,

Create the formulas in the customer name range as described below (called condition base formula 917 and condition value formulas 906, 919, and 920 in the attachment; transaction VOFM). You only need base formula 917 and condition value formula 919 or 920 for variant 3. If you want to use only condition value formula 920 but not 919, you should still create formula 919 completely because it contains a data definition for formula 920.

I am trying to download the attachment.

But there is no attachment.

Thanks,

Pradeep

Hi Pradeep,

Please have a look on Note's Correction section:

Software Component: SAP_APPL

Number: 621740

There you have TADIR Entries - Object Description for Program ID

  • RV63A917
  • RV64A906
  • RV64A919
  • RV64A920

Thanks, JP

Scroll down, click here:

A new tab or popup should appear (depends on your browser settings), scroll down, click here,

Another popup should appear and the code you seek is in the Insert Block section:

If a popup or a new tab or a new window does not come up, check your browser settings and allow temporarily popups for the site. If you use add-ons such as NoScript, check if they block parts of the site functionality (I doubt that this is the problem, because NoScript users are typically tech-savvy and would easily recognize such stuff, but it does not hurt to double-check if sap-ag.de is white-listed, anyway). If you use some exotic browser, try with IE, FF or Chrome. I use PaleMoon 26.1.1 and have no issues with the site.

If the OSS note says there is an attachment and you found that is missing, you can very well raise OSS message for clarification.

What kind of attachment you're talking about? Can you please be more specific? Thanks.

The OP is probably referring to the source code for one of the the VOFM routines, which are not available on third-party sites as this one.

The code can be seen in the sap notes site when you click on correction instructions for the corresponding product version and then on the specific object - e.g. RV63A917.

Then, I guess, it is just copy/paste, activate, generate.

Yep that might be the case but before copying and pasting the material he needs to get required OSS note correction instructions and for that he must visit SAP Service Marketplace by signing with his S-USER ID and if he don't own that he's purely dependent on basis guy for this.

The note said to create these routines in the customer name range, so I would not expect them to be downloaded as corrections in such case - this is why I mentioned copy/pasting them (I could be wrong though - I am neither an ABAP-er nor a BASIS expert, but in theory routines with the same numbers, used for something else, could already exist in the system). The rest of the note was just customizing and explanations.

Anyway, using third-party sites for sap notes in general - even if it is just for reading, investigation or educational purposes by functional consultants, would be too risky, because you cannot guarantee that you see the latest version or that there are no recently added related notes/side effects, so I doubt that this could be an established practice in many companies.

Well OP asked for the attachment and that is why my question was what kind of attachment. When there's a program error then correction instructions are always there not specifically talking about VOFM routines. Rest i referred him to that 3rd party site because at that time i was not having access to service market place but i agree that versions are always there so in order to keep yourself updated, SAP service market place is the best option. I believe that potential consultants with domain and complete base knowledge never compromise or rely on one option, they know multiple ways to achieve things without any risk factor involved within.
