Process chain errors

Hi SAP gurus,

We are trying to implement a report generation tool "ReadSoft Performance Analytics" on the BW system.

Before beginning the installation and configuration, we had to import few transport files provide by the product team.

so, we had given this transport files to our basis team, who copied this files into trans folder and imported successfully into the BW Development system.And we started with the configuration process.

One part of the configuration process chain to schedule the process chains to load the data.

when I tried to run a process chain, the process ends with lot of errors:

But when I checked  the transports I was able to see all the DTPs,infopackages:

And when I tried to activate the process chain, the activation ends with lot of errors

like DTPs,Infopackages etc could not be found in version:

And when I checked inside the transports, I was able to see all the DTPs, Infopackages etc:

I have searched in SCN for any kind of answers, but still no luck.

Hi There,

This is because of ReadSoft PA incompatibility with SAP ECC. Please check with the product vendor for the resolution.

Hi Sravanthi,

if your whole data flows active at prod system then you don't need to collect whole data flow again.

just collect your process chain along variants.

From RSA1-->transport connection.

Use grouping option - only necessary objects.

From middle pane, you can find your chain and drag into extreme right side pane.

Later you can select  chain and chain variants.

After that collect object into Transport and move to further system.

Hi Raman,

We are trying to implement this reporting tool on the development system.

The transports were provided by the product team in the form of *.N70 files and it contains all the essential components to install and configure the tool.

Hi Sravanthi,

Your saying about Tool, but errors says about process chains.

Whats the relation between tool and process chains.

first lets move your chains to prod and later you can transport tool which you need.

Even better to move objects by single transport rather than all objects into one TR.

Like above cases, if we get any issues its risky to handle those.

Lets ask your prod help and solve it.

Thank you very much for your reply,

As per the document provided by the product team for the tool to work first we need to do some configuration on both ECC and BW side.

For the tool the to retrieve the relevant data we first need to activate few process chains.

and we are also not able to replicate the data from ECC to BW for the newly activated data source because of some logical system issue.

and without getting the data in the DEV system we are not allowed to move to PRD.

Could you kindly provide me your mail ID so that I could send you the installation guide that the product has provided to me. Since I am very new to BW I am having a hard time understanding this system in-depth..If you go through the document, I believe you will be able to guide me in the right direction and save my neck.

Hi,

first find the info package and activate the data source again.

info package was inactive status.

I am not sure why you collect all the objects into on TR.

collect it into different TR's.

I tried to find this Infopackages and DTPs etc for RSA1 and BI content, but no luck.

And the transports were given to us by the product team.

Go to RSA1 and search for this error  info packages and DTPs.

Activate the same and try to activate the process chain.

Hi Bhavani,

I searched for this DTPs,Infopackages in RSA1,but no luck.

I tried to manually activating this from the BI content,but in the DTP or the Infopackages section I was unable to find the DTPs,Infopackages etc.
