How to use long domain text in a label

So I am using the following code to add a label to my view:

<htmlb:label for="//model/auftrag.CREDIT_ABGRD" />

This works fine, in the browser the view shows the text stored for the data element used for "//model/auftrag.CREDIT_ABGRD". It does, however, use the middle-sized text of the data element, whereas I want to the long text. There is plenty of space, and even if I give a very large width for the label, it still only uses the middle-sized data element text.

Any ideas how I could force the system to use the long text of the data element?

    you may check out the page label.bsp in the BSP-App. SBSPEXT_HTMLB, last testcase#17.

    The attribute labelType of the html-Element label steers this:

    <htmlb:label for="//model/auftrag.CREDIT_ABGRD" labelType="title"/>

    brings up the long text.
