Parameter LOGIN/PASSWORD_CHANGE_WAITTIME = 0

Hi Expert,

We are implementing SAP Multi Channel Foundation for our client.

We want to allow internet users to change their password as many times they would each day.

The problem is : Security parameter LOGIN/PASSWORD_CHANGE_WAITTIME can't be = 0... (neither Security Policy Attribute MIN_PASSWORD_CHANGE_WAITTIME)

> Minimum rule is 1 password change each day...

Is there a way to bypass this parameter ? Or do you know an alternative solution ?

Thanks

Mathieu

Hello,

The Business case is user management with SAP Multi Channel Foundation.

We need to allow multiple password change per day in our Customer portal.

Thanks

Mathieu,

As already mentioned there is no technical setting that you can exploit for this purpose of changing password more than once by end user. The only other recourse available is Administrative password reset. If customer can contact the SAP user administrator and have the initial password reset then the end user can go about changing password multiple times a day as there is no limit on administrative password reset.

If you have any password self service utility in use, then you can further explore to use then same for your current need.
