Hi All,

I have a scenario, where PI is getting data from Outbound Proxy and PI should create CXML files into target third party system
.

I have searched in google to find the steps to implement this scenario, but didn't found any.

Can any one please tell me what are all the steps I need to do in ESR and ID (at receiver adapter)..?

Thank you in advance..!

Hi Raj,

It depends on what scenario you have,

1. Ariba Integration using Network Adapter then use the above link by Jens and install the ESR content and map outbound proxy with ESR cotent.

2. Ariba Integration without Network adapter develop your mappings to generate the putput stucture with cXML tag

3. Any other third party integration for cXML exchange then check if you have ESR content available and if not then develop mappings to transform it to cXML structure.

Let us know more in details if you have any other question.

Assuming you want to connect to Ariba? If so, see here for starters

Hi Jens,

Thanks for your reply, but client had not tolled any thing about Target system saying that it is an Ariba system. because in our landscape we use FTP system to create xml and flat files if target is RFC, IDOC or PROXY.

Is there any way, we can use file adapter in Receiver side..?

Thank you.!

So you should ask the client what system you have to talk to? If this is not some high confidential setup he will probably tell you. If it's Ariba you could save yourself a bunch of work to use dedicated Ariba channel then.

Even if it's not Ariba or the client won't tell: There's nothing that stops you from using cXML with an FTP adapter. Download the DTD from here cXML.org (check with client if specific version is needed), import in PI and use accordingly within PI to create your scenario.

If it's really a cXML derivative that has nothing to do with the standard from cXML.org you should ask your client about the desired DTD or even better an XSD.

Cheers

Hi Jens,

Sorry. Small correction here, as per client system as of today we have to create xml and flat files in FTP if Source* system is sending data via RFC,IDOC and PROXY.

My Question is, is there a way to create CXML file into FTP using File receiver adapter or not. If it is possible what are the steps to implement this Scenario in 7.1 EHP 1
.

Thank you.!

Hi Jens,

Thanks..!

You mean, we can use File receiver adapter to create .CXML file into target system.? even if client is ready to provide DTD or XSD.? Following our regular Design and configuration steps.??
