We have installed XI DEV and TEST on the same machine with seperate SLD.
DEV is 00
TEST is 01
XI is 3.0
LINUX Red Hat version 4.
No errors on the install, thanks Felix.
No errors on the start up either.
Both systems will come up according to the logs.
Log on to the DEV system with GUI works.
Can not log onto the TEST system.
The two systems have seperate libraries and such so that does not seem to be the problem.
Service file on the workstation has the DEV system as 3600 and the QA system as 3601. I think that is the way it should be.
The error message comes up with "Services time out. NIPCONNECT"
Need help...and not mental yet.
What are we missing on this? Did I miss something on the install or somewhere else?
Thanks,
David
David,
Did you check whether your system is started properly.
If the system is coming up properly, check whether http://<host>:5<TEST_sysnumber>00 is working properly.
Please post the result, then we will go from there.

Thanks Shravan.
I will try that first thing in the morning. We are done being frustrated for the day. I can tell you this, there are not errors in the start logs or any of the other logs.
David
In your SAP Logon PAd...
can you add a new entry with Application server as the server name...
System number as 01 and
systemid as the system id of the QA system...
try loggin in with this...
Are you doing this way ?
Thanks,
Renjith

Renjith,
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, in the launch pad I can add the server. That this is where I get the message "Server timed out. NIPCONNECT."
Sorry I was not clear on that part. In the lauch pad we put in the name of the server (tried both IP and DNS name) and the instance as 01.
Later,
David
