Hi,

I can perfectly see the measures from my Thing in the Thing Modeler

I can see the measures in my IoT App created with the WebIDE plugin

But when I go in the IoT Services Cockpit, despite that I can find my Device there

When I go to see the measures,

I only see those tables which have nothing to do with my device !

Where are the tables containing my Thing/Device measures ?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Regards,

Didier

Good question. They are not stored in tables generated in IoT Services as you might be used to. The whole point of using IoT Application Enablement is to not store the time series data directly in a particular database but to provide a service, that can scale to handle any amount of data you throw at it while still retaining the ability to retrieve raw and aggregated data from the stored time series in an efficient and flexible enough way. Additionally the service ties into a powerful business partner to allow fine-grained access control. Some customers generate terabytes of time series data a day, then they have 5-10 different applications needing a different slice of the data for employees, partners and customers - only with a scalable microservice like IoT Application Enablement this can be handled in a cost-efficient way. You do not even have to know which hot-, warm- or cold store we use behind the scenes as we will keep this up to date while you, as an application developer only have to deal with one api (sorry, got a little caried away here :-).

So the data ingested by IoT Services is not stored but forwarded to IoT Application Enablement. You can only see the data there.
