limited amount of depreciation

All experts,

If I would like to limit amount of depreciation of asset , how I can do this.

For example, In case luxury car.

According to legal, even I bought car in value more than 1 million. But I can calculate depreciation of this car maximum 1 million only.

How I can slove this issue? Can I specify this calculation in each asset class?

Thank you so much.

    Hi Kets,

You can achieve this by two ways:

    1. Post all the depreciation via manual depreciation.

    2. Suppose you have a 2 million luxury car and you want depreciation till 1 million then configure Salvage value of that fixed asset as 1 million.

    Hello Kets,

As Anant said, you can achieve this by maintaining the Salvage/Scrap value in the Asset Master Data, so that it will stop deprecating of an asset.

We can only maintain this information at master data level and cannot maintain at the asset class level.

    Best Regards,
