All experts,
Byd has Special period , doesn't it?
Special period are used for posting that are not assigned to time period.
I'm not sure about "Set additional entry day" as below, is it special period ?
However, I have already investigated in other fiscal year. I didn't find it.
Please suggest me if my understanding is incorrect.
Thank you.
Hi Kets,
Set Additional Entry Days is used to add the additional entry day for a source document.
As per the additional entry days maintained, System will determine the entry possible field in the process control settings and maintain the process control accordingly when you open the respective period.
By default, this additional entry days are set to 15 days. this will be applied to all the periods in the system. however if you need to change this settings for one specific period you can do so by maintaining the appropriate process control.
Please refer to the help document "Process Control for Operational Postings" for more details on the process control.
Set additional entry days is used to for the below purpose. Example : You can post the documents with posting date between 01.02.2016 to 29.02.2016 till 29.02.2016. However if you maintained ad additional entry days as 15 days. then you will be allowed to post the document till 15.03.2016. Hence you can post the documents in the respective period till 15 days after the last valid posting date.(In this case last valid posting date is 29.03.2016).
If you enter a number with a minus sign, the entry period ends before the accounting period. Example : If you maintain the additional entry days as -5 days then system will allow you to post document only till 24.02.2016 in the period 01.02.2016 to 29.02.2016.

Annapurna
