Hello Experts,
I've seen a couple of posts on the subject topic, but none in details. Below is our requirement & we are looking for specific inputs on how to solution the different problems -
Any hints would be appreciated.
Cheers
Hello,
With 2 R/3 systems connected to one SCM is basically not supported by SAP.
A scenario in which location sent from 2 different R/3 system has only one location ID in APO system is not supported by standard.
In standard SAP /sapapo/matmap, /sapapo/loc are assigned unique business system group and logical system.

Hello,
Material master data is client dependent MARA and plant dependent MARC.
If you have different logical system then you need the business group.
both logical systems are to be assigned to different business system groups ( like BSG1 and BSG2).
In function module EXIT_/SAPAPO/SAPLCIF_PROD_001 you can:
change or set the product master program the mapping of external product numbers from various business system groups to the APO product number.

Hello Babu,
1. Did u hv products shared/common 2 plants in both the sysyems? Did u hv 2 use BSGs if Yes?
2. Also, i am trying to list all the tasks that'll be needed n thr seems to be a lotta unknown that am afraid might trip us if not completely thought thru n addressed.
Would u hv some kindda ready reckoner that one cud use?
As i listed in my original post, lotta open qns on- deleting data in APO, customers, vendors n more..
Thanks
Anand
Hi Andy
We have done similar setup with 2 ECCs being connected to 1 SCM. Yes you have to use two different BSGs. This is mandatory. You cannot share the same location across systems (this means customers too as they are nothing but locations in APO). As the customer location will also differ for both the systems, you may have to think about a solution to address this.
There is no ready reckoner as the requirements will differ with every client. But you can go through CIF posts on SAP help which can guide how to setup two systems to be connected to one SCM box.
Hope this helps.
