Upgrade BW 7.3 sp4 (SAPKW73004) to BW7.4 SP 12

Hi,

we are planning to upgrade our BW7.3 to BW7.4. for this we ran the program Sap_query_checker_740 on BW7.3 and get some information.it shows some query with the message "Queries using formulas before aggregation" mean look like formulas before aggregation are no longer supported.

I want to know if we upgrade to BW7.4 sp12 still our queries will not work or is there any service pack available to fix this problem.

Hi Asif,

You are correct. "Queries using formulas before aggregation" are no longer supported.

You will need to redesign the queries or underlying InfoProviders and transformations.

FYI: This option ALWAYS causes query performance issues on large sets of data.

Calculate and store as the data warehosue level, select and sum at the query level.

Hi, If you have saved your queries with a technical name, they should be seen also in BW 7.4.

you means save in Dev system and then transport to QA and Production.

it looks like BW 7.4 is not supported formula before aggregation. how is it solve the problem if I save the query. can I get any reference or document related this problem

2nd thing I did not find any calculated or restricted key figure in the query definition and global area, please can someone explain about this.
