Message Management Cockpit Service Unavailable in IoT services

Former Member

Hi, I have started using the trial version of the SAP Hana Cloud platform today so I can learn about using the IoT services. I enabled the service no problem and I successfully Deployed the Message Management service in the IoT services cockpit. When I click the button in the IoT cockpit to go to the Message Management Cockpit a new browser launches with the following error... Service Unavailable No server is available to handle this request, or the application iotmmsi049558trial.hanatrial.ondemand.com is temporarily down for maintenance. Excuse us for the inconvenience. Does anyone know if this is expected? Should the page be unavailable at the moment due to maintenance?

Hi Richard,

usually you get such message when an app is in stopped state. From the monitor cockpit I see that the iotmms app is started in your account. Could you please try to launch it in the browser once more?

Hi Anton,

I created a new default data source binding for the Java Application according to the steps I was following in the SAP HANA Academy videos...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Snj5Gt5fKZk&list=PLkzo92owKnVxzjoxwJdaa400E_UqkzE8J&index=5

Now when I return to the IoT cockpit and try again to launch the MMS cockpit I get a new error...

"Access to the requested resource is forbidden (HTTP 403)."

I guess I need to set some permissions for myself somewhere??

Thanks Anton,

I tried assigning the role to several variants of my user ID (see pic) but STILL the 403 error is returned for the MMS Cockpit screen.

I don't know what else to try but thanks for the replies.

It should be your i-user (1st entry) only. Try to logout from HCP Cockpit, close all browser windows and login again.

Good but re-deployment was not necessary

Ok. It worked for me. Perhaps because I closed the browser window as well before I re-launched the IoT cockpit?

Yes, as role assignment dialog says "Changes will affect new sessions only"
