IMMEDIATE_ARCHIVE field in SFC table

Hello,

We have the site2site functionality enabled on our two plants, and after the SFC is transferred, the IMMEDIATE_ARCHIVE in SFC table is set to true and the archiving script will take it immediately, not following the defined complete datetime anymore.

Can I ask whether we can manipulate this IMMEDIATE_ARCHIVE value from true to false by a direct SQL update after the site2site transfer triggered? Whether this manipulation will cause any problems for the production functionalities? for my understanding this column is only used by the Archiving script.

Thanks & regards,

Leon

    Hi Leon,

You are right. The only side-effect I can think of is if you forget to switch the flag back that will cause the SFC to sit in WIP for ages.

    Hello Leon,

Yes, it is used by Archiving. If you update it manually, you may have the same SFCs in both sites. Then if you decide to return SFC back to the original Site using RMA functionality, you may face duplicate records issue.

I am not positive there is any good reason to keep the transferred SFC in the original Site.
