Generic Delta - Physical Inventory Count

Former Member

Hi Team,

1. Created Generic Delta based on BLDAT (Document Date). Datasource based on view created on IKPF and ISEG.

2. Initialised. Delta was fine. This picked records when Physical Inventory Documents were created, counted and Posted on the same day. Selection parameter in View Difference Quantity ='X'

3. When Physical Inventory Documents were created today and Posted tomorrow, these records were not picked up.

4. Changed BUDAT (Posting Date) as 'Delta' relevant field with no Limit set. 'Calendar Day' setting made.

5. When I create, count and post a new record, I am able to extract this in RSA3 but the new record not appearing in 'Delta Queue' (RSA7).

6. I did replicate the 'Datasource' on BW side and activated the 'Datasource' after changing the GDE.

7. Any idea why new records are not seen in 'Delta Queue' ? Would very much appreciate your response ?

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi dear,

I don't know if applicable...but why don't you use AEDAT (Date of Last Change) from ISEG as delta-relevant field ?

Otherwise you are not able to pick up all the changes in the items that are not related to posting date or, worse, document date !

Hope it helps!

Hi Roberto,

Thanks for your feedback. I have changed AEDAT as delta-relevant field. Data was not pulled into BW. I have made the Safety Upper limit as '1'. Waited for a day. Still new records are not pulled.

Should I try Lower limit as '1' and upper limit as '0' ?

As SAP suggests, if delta field is a date (as in our case), you have to use upper limit of 1 day and leave lower limit blank: this will load delta in BW as of yesterday.

Now...are you sure that you have some document to extract?

Hi Roberto,

Issue resolved. I could extract the Physical Inventory document by 'Posting Date' with a 'Safety Interval' setting of 1 for upper limit.

Thanks for your help. Awarded.

Is it better to use AEDAT or BUDAT in this case?
