HANA Feature Request: support oData v4 in XS

I vote to urgently support oData Version 4 in HANAs XS.

Background:

• At the moment (Feb 2016) HANA supports oData Version 2.
• With oData v2 you cannot count the number of elements having an attribute value in a dependent entity
  (eg the distinct number of customers having a Product in category id '5')

Examples (Northwind):

• In v2 this fails: $filter=Orders/any(o:o/OrderID eq 10692)
  http://services.odata.org/V2/Northwind/Northwind.svc/Customers/?$format=json&$expand=Orders&$filter=... eq 10692)
• In v4 this works: $filter=Orders/any(o:o/OrderID eq 10692)
  http://services.odata.org/V4/Northwind/Northwind.svc/Customers/?$format=json&$expand=Orders&$filter=... eq 10692)

Although OData V4 has already been announced via the HANA product roadmap to be in the future for XSA. We've have it in our product backlog and development work has already begun on it.

But you will have to navigate into the HANA section.

I can't comment on the timeline beyond to say it won't be in SPS 12. There are roadmap disclosure rules that restrict me from being more precise than that. Its not a small feature. Its essentially a total re-development of the OData server side handler with many new features. Its a high focus item with a good amount of developers assigned to it, but its also an item with very high effort required.
