Configuration error in STMS - Truck Symbol is missing

Former Member

Hi Experts,

We are using IDES ECC6.0 EHP7. I configured the TMS and defined the routes from client 000. As, it is IDES, I created a virtual quality system and tried to import Transport request from Real system to virtual system. The TR is in import queue of virtual system but truck symbol is missing. Did I do any thing wrong ? Please help me in this...

Regards,

Kiran

Hello,

I think you miss the aim of a virtual system... This kind of system does not exist physically, it just allows to you to release transport requests in your source system. However, you cannot import a request in a virtual system which explains why the truck is missing ;-).

Hi Nicolas,

Many Thanks for your reply. I am not aware of what you said. Thanks for the info. But, how can I know whether I configured my TMS correctly or not as I am using only IDES system ??

Apologies, if I had asked any silly questions as I am new to Basis.

Regards,

Kiran.

Hello,

If I correctly understand your first post, you already release some transport requests which show that your transport route is correctly configured.

Dear Kiran,

You will not find the truck symbol in virtual system.

We create a virtual system becoz  TR request in the original system are not created as  local object.

if the TR is created with local object , then we will not able to import the TR in other system.

Now why the truck button is missing in virtual system.

Virtual system has no existence in the landscape , it is based on the assumption that we are going to create physical system in future. In virtual system there is will be no client ,which is obvious , as a result the truck is missing.
