Hi

I am on single stack PO 7.4. I am not able to open the PO server. It was working fine untill sunday.

Yesterday we were not able to login to the PO server, ESB and ID. The message processing happened till evening. I logged in to ECC and found that the messages were processed successfully till then.

Now, I am not able to open even the PO url. When I check in ECC, SXMB_MONI, messages have not rreached there. Also when I went to SM 59 and pinged using RFC destination, I got system not available.

What should be do? BASIS is also trouble shooting the issue

We restarted the server and still isssue persists.

Hi Midhun,

After you restart the system, is all applications and services running?? if any application or service failed to start when you restart the system you need find the reason for failure in startup logs in the server and identify the root cause for this, and also check default trace file to find out the root cause of this.

Regards,

Praveen.

few days back I asked a questiin about integrating two views and sunday evening I did that. I was wondering any incorrect querry would lead to large data being pulled to system and due to excess memory usage system hangs

Is it advisable to start the system in safe mode. after restart also I am not able to access any tools iin PO

Hi Midhun,

You can check logs in OS level, Check below link where to see the log files.

Viewing Log and Trace Files - SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment - SAP Library

There are the following types of log and trace files:

  • Startup and control framework logs:Contain information about the startup process. You can check these files if errors or undesired behavior occur during the startup process. By default, the data from the last three restarts is kept. The developer trace files and system output of all the executables belonging to an instance are located in the directory \usr\sap\<SAPSID>\<instance name>\work, where <SAPSID> is the SAP system ID (for example, CE1) and <instance name> is the instance name (for example, JC00 or SCS01).
  • AS Java logs:The log and trace files generated by the AS Java process(es) and the applications running on top of AS Java are stored in the usr\sap\<SID>\<instance name>\j2ee\cluster\server<n>\log directory.

Regards,

Praveen.
