Hello Gurus

in CG02 Display Specification HITLIST, I can add identifiers in columns, but I want to add Substance Nature as well.

I don't see option of Substance Nature in Change Layout.

Is there any way we can do that?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Niketan,

I don't think that's possible. The identifiers you see in the hitlist are shown based on the definition of the ID-Listing D_HITLIST. Here you can only add identifiers, but no other data fields.

Dear Niketan

You can use one "BADI" to change the look and feel of the hitlist

Check this thread. There is a similar discussion : A5ttaching a Hit List to a new Specification Type | SCN

Hi Chris,

Sorry for late reply,

I tried using EHSS_HITLIST BADI, but not sure from BADI documentation how I can use it for add substance nature as extra column in HITLIST.

I am also looking to add that column in Specification Query result in MM02 transaction.

Any pointers would be helpful.

Thanks in advance,

Thanks and regards,

Dear Niketan

sorry. Never investigated in this BADI. No need to do so. May be check

An analysis from "ABAP" point of view is needed. Basicly I would assume that it should be possible to "add" a further column (e.g. substance nature)

Basicly: using "output variants" you can generate as well "outputs" of data as stored in the system. The "only" con of this is:: out put variants are not designed for "changing" data. but to provide output. But you can generate a customer output variant (if needed) which provides you as well e.g. data on substanace nature; as long as there is no tneed to "change" data this is fine as well

In context of: I am also looking to add that column in Specification Query result in MM02 transaction.

I am not sure what you are discussing here, There are "only" to "integration options" of MM to EHS

1.) the Label view

2.) the material <> specificaion assignment

Normally there is no need for substance nature to be available in MM01/02/03 (I have not seen yet any similar demand)

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the reply,

I will check with ABAP experts if they can use BADI to add column,

Regarding MM yes I was looking for 2) , Mat - Spec Assignment .

I understand typically it is not required for substance nature to be available

Thanks and regards,

Niketan

Dear Niketan

which approach do you use? do you assign materials to a specification orspecifications to a material=

The material thing is "standard set up" (but according to my knowledge: you should be able to enhance this (with out "modification" according to SAP rule)

Honestly Substance nature is "nothing" which would help me to decide if this or a different specifciation is the "right" one to link to; the same for spec type.

PS: may be reread online help:

You will find full story. there e.g. like

Thank you Chris again for detailed information,

I think I can search with Header data and that would take care of substance nature

However one thing I am struggling with is search criteria

So I see only one Name in this search criteria

How do I get two Name Identifiers for Search.

And expect Result to show 2 columns of Name criteria?

Thanks again in advance

Thanks and regards,

Hi Niketan,

that only works indirectly in the standard: Search for one identifier only and if too many results come up, you can refine your search using another one.
