Design Studio application can not be viewed in BI launchpad

Dear all,

when we are publishing a design studio application on BI Launchpad, the user is not able to view/execute the application due to missing entry in Property. Also via double-click the user can not execute the application. Whereas it would work for Webi reports, here the "view" entry is available in the property menu.

Is there any specific role in BO which determines the access to Design Studio application or is it a setting which has to be done in the client tool?

Any idea would be great. Thank you in advance.

Have you installed the Design Studio add-on to BI platform?  What version of BI Platform? What version of Design Studio?  Is the Design Studio runtime service running in the CMC?

Hi Tammy,

thanks for your reply. The BOE version is 4.1 SP2 and the Design Studio addon is installed as well on the BOE server. Both the Addon and the client toll of Design Studio is in version 1.6. The Runtime is running also on CMC.

I am able to run the DS application with my user, but as I have admin rights, I am not sure which part I have to check.

Any idea? Thanks in advance.

Hi Tammy,

as you have mentioned the DS runtime on CMC, I was take a look into it and found that there is

as well a setup to do reg. assigning of user groups. After I did this, it works now.
