PR Release strategy is reset on every MRP run

In our plant we have a 4 level release strategy for particular PR's The 4 levels are successive for PR values. PR created via workorder retain the release on all levels endlessly, meaning that releaser a can release on day 1 and successive releaser b can release on day 14. When PR are created via MRP run, above release strategy applies. MRP run’s daily. When the PR is not released and a PO is created before the next MRP run the releases are all reset and the releases have to do is all over again. What can be the cause of this behavior?

Sorry, but I think there is some nonsense in your story.

>>>> When the PR is not released and a PO is created <<<<<<

How can you create a PO before the PR is released?

If you already created a PO from your PR, then the next MRP run will not touch this requisition at all, it would create a new requisition if you have new requirements that are not covered with the PO.

Hello

I think that he mean that, if the purchase requisition is not converted to PO before the MRP run, the purchase requisition release is reset.

On the purchase requisition release strategy, there is a setting on the release indicator to determine if the purchase requisition will be firmed for MRP or not. If the indicator is not set, the purchase requisition with this release indicator will not be considered firmed by MRP and it can be deleted or changed by MRP.

There's no need to be rude, just like Caetano Almeida understood, I meant that the releases are being reset between the MRP runs, in the case of there's no PO added to the PR in the meantime.

Thank you Caetano,

I will check your input, it sounds logical, hopefully this is the answer, with kind regards.

I don't think I have been rude, if something that you wrote  is nonsense then it can be named as such.
