Adobe print and interactive scenario

Hello all,

I would like to try the sneak preview version of Adobe form for both print (from ABAP) and interactive scenario (from Web Dynpro program).

As per post by Markus in other topic, we have established that the Java and ABAP stack has to be in the same patch level in order for print scenario to work.

However, in SDN, the ABAP stack is for 04s and Java version is for 04 SP15. I think I have the previous version of the sneak preview ( Netweaver '04 - SP14) for both Java and ABAP stack backed up in my home PC (I don't have access right now, so I can't verify).

I'm planning to set this up this weekend, however, can someone verify that this approach is feasible from the technical point of view? Just want to make sure that I won't wasting my time using the sneak preview version.

Also just in case I do not have the SP14 version backed up, does anyone know if there is an 'archive' of older sneak preview?

Iwan,

the ABAP and Java stack do not necessarily need to be on the same patch level, but they need to be of the same release (i.e. NW04 or NW 2004s, respectively, but not a cross-over (one on 04, one on 2004s)).

Using NW 2004s allows you to use Web Dynpro for ABAP with the Adobe integration.

If you want to connect an NW04 ABAP stack to the Sneak Preview with ADS, it should work by creating the Destination Service in SM59 and going through all the other ABAP-related configuration steps from the ADS Configuration Guide. However, there are no guarantees (or probably support) as the Sneak Preview was - to my knowledge - never meant to serve this purpose.

UPDATE: Well, I can't find the '04 ABAP stack sneak preview, so I won't be testing this scenario any time soon. Any one have any idea when the '04s Java stack will be released for SneakPreview?
