Hi all;

One of my SEM cube request roll-up is taking more than 10 hrs, we killed the job, and did it manually and it's still the same..this request has only 5 records. We close the request using the program and doing the rollup.

Anyone know what would be the issue..and how to resolve it? thank you.

Try to rebuild all stats and index for your cube and try again with rollup...anyway, if you look in SM50 you will be able to understand where the system takes soo long time in its execution process...

Hi Roberto;

I don't have any secondary indexes and stats..for this cube, it was working fine until today, we have so much data into this cube as this is in production. Do you think it's beacuse of the luck since it's SEM cube. IS there a any method that I can check the and see the luck?

You should be able to check for a lock in SM12...

What should I do there?

1. Delete indexes

2. repair indexes.

Try to delete and then repair (that means recreate...)

The repair for aggregates completed but for the cube the create roll up and DB stat got canceled..don't know why..Yes I am in touch with basis.

It's probably because the roll-up is still running..I asked the basis team to kill the roll-up job they but I still see in my cube that the roll up is still running. How to cancel this job..permanently?

Please try RSRV and analyse the Cube first.

Is it running right now? Can you check the job log and activity in SM50...any system dumps?

still running. It has that summation sign still there on the 'roll up status' column of manage cube. This is second time, we are trying to do. First time we killed the Job, No dump in ST22, It has only five records, I would like to delete the reqeust and try but this is production system and don't want to do this.

Please give me some ways, how to find the solution..;
