How does KONP table get filled?

Hi Experts,

I am a SRM guy and don't know much about MM.

We are replicating the MM master into MDM and using for shopping cart creation in SRM.

We have issue with field Base Unit(MEINS) in KONP table.

This is empty for some condition records and filled for some conditions records.

We are getting the error when this field in empty.

How does this field get filled?

And if I know the info record number then how to know the condition record for info record?
