Connect any IDE to the HANA-Platform?

Hi,

currently we are developing our Apps via SAP HANA Web-based Development Workbench (Editor). Is it possible, to develop in any other IDE, like Netbeans ? I've read about an eclipse-only plugin, but this is not the solution here, because our developers may work independent. Another reason is the deployment to GitHub. It makes the whole process alot easier, if our developers may choose their own IDE to work with.
