does the HCP iotservices support HTTP endpoint?

Dear experts,

The iotservices looks great but I can only access through HTTPS. I am curious why plain HTTP not supported. My Arduino does not support HTTPS and I guess SSL is painful for lot of "Things".

So, Is there anyway to put data through HTTP? or will it be supported?
