Multiple inspection lot for one production order

Hi,

Your question is not clear. at what stage you want multiple inspection lots for the production order??.

During production stage  means when production process is ongoing or after the completion of production ???...

In standard SAP you can only generate one inspection lot during ongoing production. You need to activate inspection type 03 in material master. Inspection lot is created when you release the production order. this lot is called In-process inspection lot. for this same inspection lot you can do multiple results recording if you want. Check the below link for the same.

You need to activate inspection type 04 if you want inspection lot after the completion of production ...when you do GR against production order system will generate lots. here you can generate multiple lots for multiple GR for the same production order.

I want to have multiple inspection lot with only one GR movement ?

Hi,

Multiple GR means for the same production order doing the multiple times Goods receipt. In this case system will create a new inspection lot for each separate GR.

Otherwise, do you have any idea please how to send inspection request from SAP to external system ?

We have an integration with LIMS system and my requirement is to send a request to LIMS for an inspection ? What is the object to create inspection request in SAP ?

Hi! I have a same problem. I have to create multiple inspection lots during production (for some marked phases) before goods receipt for one batch and send them to LIMS system (the LIMS system needs only new inspection lots for each phase). Do you have solution this issue?

Yes this is very well possible! But which inspection lot origin you want the lots should be created with? 03 or 04? As Jogeswara explains, you can set 03 and 04 inspection types in material master. As soon as the order is released it would trigger 03 type inspection lot and upon each goods receipt you would have 04 inspection type lots. Do multiple GRs and you would get multiple inspection lots. Do the setting mentioned in enclosed thread.

Note - You can have multiple inspection lots of 04 origin for the same order but you will always have only 1 lot for 03 origin for an order.
