Android app crashing on random screens

Hi,

We have deployed custom app on top of WM 8.0 and SMP 3.0 SP08 with SDK 10 PL11.

The app is consistently crashing on android device in three or four screens, mostly in  detail screen. The behaviour is same with older agentry client( 70.10) too. ATE is not crashing. iphone app also does not crash.

Is it crashing on your custom screens or on the out of the box screens?

If it is on the out of the box screens then I would suggest logging a ticket with support and provide the relevant details (device model, os version, client version).  Attach an export of the database as well.

On custom cscreens. Both list and Detail were customized..

Just observed same crash on out of the box screens  as well. Iphone is doing good. IS this a memory issue?

Or something with SDK SP10 ?

Not sure if you have address this yet or not but SDK SP11 is out so you can also try that client to see if it helps or not.

Yes Bill The issue remains with SDK 11 as well.

Hi. From the support team perspective, we have heard about issues with the SMP 3.0 SDK for Android. We have internal incidents or tickets tied to it currently with system integrator companies who reported it initially. We have or are reviewing multiple devices internally to address this on crashes (ex: Android crashing on 5.1 on out of the box apps).  Please bear with us while we investigate the issue and patch it. We are notifying the support team of this issue so that they can easily forward the issue to development.
