Quality Notification F2 vs. Q2

Dear Expert,

My requirements is to implement QM Notification for handling Non conforming procured materials. The notification has to be linked to the QM inspection lot and the business also wants to create and process the return delivery from the QM Notification. We have implemented the WM module with SU numbers.

I conducted some testing and found that Notification F2 did not allow me to transfer the stock from Unrest.-blocked because of the SU numbers as such I could not create the return delivery either. However, when I use notification Q2, I am able to use all the functions in the action box. My issue here is that I could not link the inspection lot to the Notification.

Am I missing something?

Hello,

the link between inspection lot and notification is only availible by entering defaults in inspection lot. The manual creation of notification after inspection lot is completed isn't possible so far. With EhP 5.0 there is new function (linked objects ) where you can entering inspection lots on separete subscreen.

For your case Q2 is the right notification type.

Hi Heidi,

I ran through your request quickly and I am not sure if you are asking for inputs/information on establishing the complete E2E flow OR you have only a specific requirement for activating Notification type link to Inspection type. If you are looking for the 2nd part, then you can quickly check the below thread for a direct answer -

As it seems Q2 works fine for your business process, so I think you can retain this configuration step.

To know more about downstream steps after activating proposed config, you can take clues form the discussion we had sometimes back in the thread: Auto Defect Recording for Accepted MIC | SCN

Thanks to all contributors for these threads!!

Thanks,
