great difficulties with 3-level drilldown pie charts

Hi,

I am triyng to drilldown a pie chart.

I can drill down the first pie chart that I put on the report header but I am having difficulties with the second pie chart that I want to drill down on and open a list of items.

So I put the first pie chart on the report header, the second pie chart on the group header. I created a second group. I thought that I could choose group from the secong pie chart but it is disabled.

what am I missing to get the group enabled and how can I list my items from the detail section based on the double-click on the second pie? I am planning on using the formulae using the DrillDownGroupLevel to hide/show the details.

Thanks for your help

Hi Elisabeth,

To be able to drill down from a Pie Chart, you need a group on the field that generates the Pie Chart's slices along with a Summary field.

In this case, you'd add a second group on the field that has been used as 'On Change of' section of the second pie chart. You'd also need a summary placed on the Group Footer/Header 2.

You should see the 'group' option and should also be able to drilldown.

This shows you what I am trying to do. I have my grop header 1 which is the result of a drilldown and my group header 2 which I cannot make a drilldown. The data are correct though but the display is incorrect.

Thanks
