When you get the IE "standards" message in the SAP Portal its usually that you need to put the back end servers and portal into the Compatibility View list. Similarly enable pop-ups for both SAP Portal and back end servers.

Another quick way to do this is add the servers to the Local Intranet zone, as by default IE uses Compatibility mode for any sites listed in that zone.

By default IE 11 runs in "standards" mode but the portal runs in "Quirks" (backwards compatibility) mode. By setting "Compatibility mode" this puts the browser into "Quirks" mode and it should no longer complain.

    Hi,

Check this note 2076833 - Internet Explorer does not render the catalog correctly - "Standards mode is not supported"

It is not exactly the solution of your issue but it is a good start point to find it.

    Good luck.

    Hello,

what do you use as User Interface: NetWeaver Business Client or Enterprise Portal?

You can also check KBA 1969477 - SRM not working properly with IE11

    Regards.

    Hello Lovely,

Did you find a solution to your problem? We have a similar issue (every time we try to attach a contract, it freezes) and we are looking for a solution.

    Many thanks

    Andreas

    Hello All,

You could try to 'clear the cache' on the Enterprise portal side.

This helped us with some IE 11 in conjunction with portal issues.

    Cheers,

    Franz
