Hello Experts,
Whenever we attach a pdf file using Services for objects-->Store Business documents, an attachment list list is created and the file is archived in the repository.
If we double click on it, the pdf is opened in SAP Document viewer and not in Acrobat Reader unlike word document....
Can anyone tell me what configuration changes should be made and where so as to open pdf file in Acrobat?
Hello Shardul,
Not sure whether you are using web or desktop viewer. OAG1 is the TC where you can adjust to display the document with native application. Check the radio button as in screen shot to display the PDF with acrobat reader. In case you are using the archivelink interface displaying the document from storage system check OAA3 to adjust the protocol.
Internet browser should automatically call the native application to display the document if it is installation with no flaw.
Please let me know if it does not display I can help.
Thanks,
Kolusu

Kolusu's response is correct. OAG1 will allow the internet browser to call the native application via MIME types on the local workstation. This config also works for forcing XML files to be displayed in the browser instead of the SAP Document Viewer.
Just be aware OAG1 is a system-wide change to the archivelink layer. So you could impact other document types that are called through archivelink and have OAA3 protocols set.
