SSO with URL Parameters and JAAS

Hi,

We have a web application with links to Portal

like

https://myportal.com:50000/irj/portal?params=2134bhj12334k3n5i12345n3k3nh53k3

Where this "params" is some encrypted information of the user.

Is it possible to write a JAAS module to get the value of the params and decrypt and get the user specific information(user id and someother info) and let user login to portal without asking username and password??

I am new to JAAS. Will this work?? Please confirm this.

What if we want to add more complexity to above URL like NavigationTarget for example...

https://myportal.com:50000/irj/portal?navigationtarget=.......¶ms=2134bhj12334k3n5i12345n3k3nh53k3

NavigationTarget here is for navigating to some specific page in the portal.

will this still work???

Thanks

    Hi Santosh,

You can use JAAS to create custom PAMs (Pluggable Authentication Modules) to work with external systems for SSO including any HTTP(S) system.

You can refer this documenthttps://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/4d65ed90-0201-0010-3aba-9209836e8242">document> and this webloghttps://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/721">weblog> to begin using JAAS.
