IoT app plugin - How to select the Thing Types you're interested in ?

Hi,

I couldn't find any way in the IoT App Plugin to select the Thing Types for which I would like to develop an app ! I think that this is among the first elements that a developer should be able to do. I'm not interested to develop an app where I'm obliged to see all different ThingTypes that have been defined in the ThingModeler.

This is actually the case. I created my own ThingType, Thing Properties and Thing but using the IoT App plugin where you can't select the ThingType you're interested in, I'm ending with an app showing me everything.

Note : the map stays grayed out with 3 dots blinking in the middle. I'm unable to select anything. Is this the bug 1780088998. where nothing is showing up on the map if the basic data property you have defined for your thing type is allocated to another thing type as well ? I've defined my own ThingType with it's own Thing Properties. But as I can't select this ThingType specifically for my app, I'm kind of trapped in this bug as the app will try to show all the Things including all the QualityAir and QualityAire2 ones having properties in common.

I'm able to point by browser to the Analysis page of my Thing and there I can see the values of my sensors (but only when selecting Dynamic Scaling as mentioned in another post).

In the (latest) IoT app plugin you do not select a thing type but on the page following the selection of the data source you select the (basic data) property set thatwill be used to filter on the map and in the thing list which things will be visible.

So to control which things you see you should allocate a (basic data) property set with one (dummy) property to the thing types that you want to see. Then in the plugin select that property set and in the generated app only those things will show up.

Marcus,

I just tried this as I have a couple of basic data categories associated to my ThingType.

Now the app is showing no Thing at all !

But if I point directly to the analysis page, my measures are there

OK I was using some Reserved words in my properties. This is corrected and the device is showing up on the map !
