Subcontracting Components in RFQ

Dear All,

Our client wants the Subcontracting in RFQ with the components icon, as it appears in PR and PO.

I am able to bring the item category 'L' in the document type setting but, the components icon not appearing.

Kindly advice how to get the components icon.

I came across few old threads and SAP note 21697, according to all these sources the BOM explosion won't happen in RFQ (ME41) since the functionality is not provided in the standard system.

Suggestion : A subcon. Vendor we need to only the the expense he gonna charge . In that sense no need to put the components in RFQ. Try to convince the users .

Dear Balaji,

As of my knowledge, In standard it is impossible to have a subcontract component's in RFQ. You may have to check the feasibility of enhancements with Abaper.
