We are attempting to use MDM for catalog publishing of our products. We need the ability to apply a style to a layout item depending on the value of an attribute or field.
For example:
If I have boolean field called "New Item" and it's value is set to "true" or "yes" then in layout mode I would want to apply a style to the "Product ID" layout item that sets the font color to a designated color for new items that is a different color than non-new items.
Would this feature be helpful to anyone else? Or can it be done currently and I'm just overlooking it?
hiThomas,
Sure it gives you the solution
Thanks

Hi Aaron,
This is a functionality that is currently missing, and may be helpful for other customers as well.
Please get in contact with your SAP consultant to request this feature.
There is a solution that can be used in cases similar to the example you described.
A boolean field called "New Item" can be added, where the value can be either New or Null. since this is a separate field, a different style can be assigned to it.
"New Item" and "Product ID" can then be displayed side by side in the table.
I will send you an e-mail with an example where this solution is used.
Hope this helps,
Orly
