Decreasing resources on a SAP EP System

Hello experts.

We have this odd situation:

We have an EP system, we used to have problems with the systems when the workload was heavy, so we asked for a resource increase. We did increase the resources but now... the Memory and the CPU usage are always below 30% and 10% respectively, so resources are not being used. We want to take them away to use them on another systems (RAM and CPUs). Will this decrease cause any major problems? Do we have to take any considerations before doing it? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The reason you increased h/w resources was to mitigate the workload, so better have a look at the system, memory usage and CPU usage history before going back to where the system was actually.

The best way to get the details is from EWA (Early watch reports), you will have a good picture on what and how much is being used. You can also get help from OS team.

There is no such implication in your case at least as the system was running well (assumption) on older configuration
