Design Studio mobile app gives "Could not instantiate the data source" error

Hi guys,

I'm trying to run a mobile Design Studio dashboard in the SAP BO Mobile app. If I run the Design Studio app in BI Launchpad (on my Mac but also in Safari on my iPhone), the app runs fine and the data is loaded. When I use the same account to log in with the SAP BO Mobile app, I can see the Design Studio app, start it, but the Crosstab isn't filled with data (all components are shown) and the following error is given:

Could not instantiate the data source

Could not instantiate the data source. See default trace for log ID...

Details: Cannot load query "cuid:Afaptn..." (no service implementation available).

Any idea where to look here?

Thanks,

Xavier

Aaargh I 'solved' it myself by checking the Save Language? option in the OLAP Connection(s) (see also )o

Pretty weird how and why this does have such an effect of the working of the data sources. Still not clear for me what exactly happens here, and why it does work in iOS Safari and not in the SAP BO Mobile app.

Following SAP Note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1894504 - it states "

    • In case of errors instantiating data sources, please check your etc/services file on the server or desktop (local mode).
Hints in the trace file are:
      service '?'
Connect to message server host failed#"

What does the trace file show?

Also, which version of BI Platform are you using?

Which version of Mobile BI? iOS version?
