Customized Employee profile configuration to be called from MSS homepage

Hi Experts,

I have a question for which I am seeking your advice,

In  MSS WDA Homepage there is a Team Hierachy View . This view have the menu item Employee Profile which is called the application HRMSS_EMP_OVERVIEW_PROFILE.

Now I have created a Z configuration for this component

Now in The MSS- > Homepage -> Team Hierarchy view -> Employee Profile When I am clicking on below it opens the standard configuration not the Z one.

I checked in the Lpd_cust -> MSS +  Employee Menu -> EMployee profile  ...It show me that it is poininting to OBN object EMP_OVERVIEW_Profile

Somebdy suggested in other forums to change the iview properities for employee profile but as this view is embedded under the other WDA application so there is no direct reference ( delta link) to the standard iview where I can go and change the parameters. Kindly suggest on the same.

how will you call your custom Z employee profile configuration.

You can add that in component configuration or in LPD_CUST

Hi Siddharth,

Thanks for your reponse but the problem get solved. I have changed the parameters in iview as well as in LPD_cust.

1. In the Employee profile iview which is delta linked to Standard SAP Iview.

2. In LPD_CUST -> MSS ( EMPLOYEE_MENU) I replaced the Employee Profile Target parameters from Standard OBN to Webdynpro ABAP poiniing to My Z configuration.

Originally it was below

then I changed the Application type as Webdynpro for ABAP and filled rest of the parameters and save the menu

So now the problem got solved when I access employee profile from either of the below path in Portal

1. MSS -> Overview  -> HomePage -> Team view -> Employee Profile menu on Photo

2. MSS -> Overview -> Team -> Employee information -> Select employee and press employee profile button.
