Hi sap gurus,

When i try to launch local copy (sccl transaction) this cancelled, because in scc3 transaction show me:

The Log File Cannot be Read.

Reasons for this may be:

  - Was deleted by system administrator

  - Directory cannot be accessed

Error logs and details cannot be

displayed.

After that i check sm21 , and show me this log

Please, can you help me about it?, I must to make a copy client urgent.

Best regards.

Hi, SAP Gurus.

I fixed the problem, i was making copy client in windows 2012 and the log folder (/usr/sap/trans/log) was corrupted, so I created new log folder and the error was solved.

I hope this help someone else.

Thanks for your suggetions.

You can click on "KEEP LOCK" and continue the client copy.

Hi Anderson,

Try to run the client copy once again by selecting the reset lock.

Dear Anderson,

Can you run the scc3 transaction from 000 client and check the status.

Also check in SM12 regarding the lock on the client 100.

Hi Anderson,

I am assuming that you have created a new client 100 and running a local copy using 000 as source client.

Below are the steps to be followed for a local client copy, please check whether you missed any of it.

1. Create new client in SCC4

2. Logon to destination client 100 with SAP* with password pass

3. Run SCCL, select the client copy profile  and specify source client.

4. Run as background (immediately or on specific time as per required)

5. If RFC to client 000 doesn't exist, it will prompt a message, just click on the wizard to create RFC step by step, it's easy, you just press the Next button recommended by wizard...

Please find the below snap for your reference.

In your case it seems like an RFC issue. Can you please check the RFC connection which you created during the client copy between Source and target client is working fine.

I hope this helps you
