Remove cetrain fields from triggering change pointers

We are facing some issue in transferring IDocs through ALE, we have few fields which is considered unnecessary with regards to the receiving system which receives the idocs.

But whenever these fields gets updated in material master data then a change document gets generated and an idoc gets generated as per the configuration, i need to customise the change pointer so that whenever there is a change or a new entry in the material master data, change pointers should be created for them with exception of few fields.

eg. when there is a change in Table:MARA, Field: BISMT(old material number), then a change pointer should not exist for them as this field is unnecessary for the receiving system.

Where as a change pointer should be created for any other changes in the material master data.

Would request you to kindly advise weather is there any possible way to do this.

Thanks & Regards,

Sanjay D

Which fields trigger a change pointer is defined in customizing Logistics General > Material Master > Global Data Synchronization > Set Change Document Items for Message Type

It is further possible to control it with user exits as explained in OSS note 420562 - REP: Reducing the scope of data for change pointers
