Now when we are executing the report /FLDQ/RSPRODVER report from SAP, we are getting the following errors:

RFC Server Version Check            Fail                 No RFC Server connection to system

Data Services Jobs Version Check    Fail                 No RFC Server connection to system

Can someone please help urgently as we have deadline to met.

Please do not start the RFC server in Data Services Management console.  You need to follow the DQM for SAP users guide for how to start the RFC server.  The known problems with the product version report will never say that there are no RFC servers Connected.  The only time that this is not a valid error condition is for the Connection to Hana, otherwise this is telling you that you do not have an RFC server connected to the system.

With that said, what your versions are telling me is that you first have to get the versions into alignment Before you start your RFC server.

Your FLDQ component you say is 440_002.  This is not SP2 as we did not release the first version that supported BASIS 740 until SP3.  So your 440_002 = DQM for SAP 4.0 SP5..  this means you need to install a SP5 RFC server and an SP5 Data Services Component.  (We do recommend that all new installs start with the most current version which is SP7 not SP5.)

We recommend when installing the Data Services component for SP5 that you install into a new/empty repository.  You can run Repository manager to recreate the repository which will drop everything in that repository.

Once the jobs are installed, we recommend you run the in Data Services Designer, using the sample input files that are installed with the jobs, to verify that they will run without error.  if the jobs do not run in Designer they will not run as a real-time services.  Once the jobs run you create the real-time services for it, and then publish them to the WSDL.  They need to run as a service before the RFC will be able to start.

Once you have installed the Data Services component to a new blank repository, you need to Uninstall the SP2 RFC server and install the SP5 version.

Finally, once you have all three pieces of the product on the same service pack, start the RFC server, following the DQM for SAP users guide.

The bottom for the flrfcsrv_log.txt file in the RFC server installation location \log\<SID>_TRANS directory will give you the actual error for why the RFC server isn't starting.

Thanks,

Virginia
